Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

Well, as we're now down to just FA@H running full pelt and CEP2 just as an 'opt-in' project as alternatives to DSFL, unless the techs put a severe reign on this project, I certainly wouldn't be too surprised to see a very early end (perhaps even, before the end of this month) of this project.

I know it's all 'top secret', but are there any realistic chances of a new project starting before the end of the month? (personally, I can't see it myself).

Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

I dont think we will finish this month, there is still no "30 Days or something left" announcement. And today the raise gone down from 4 to 3 days. i think the next days it will decrease more and more.

Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

Based on "New Project Beta" experience, I'd venture to guess, no launches in June. Whatever the 'DSFL feeder slowdown' meant, cant consider 127 years projected for today as it being that, but since the wait is on new work, same as SN2S, it's not like DSFL will end before EOM. Just guess both get moved to 'intermittent' state.

Doneske, thanks for the details. You certainly have a nice/large set up. I hope your machines will be able to work through their work caches.

And now, a good sixteen days later we are moving on to structure 100:

DSFL_ 00100-10_ 0000020_ 0516_ 0--In Progress 20/06/13 07:26:13 30/06/13 07:26:13 0.00 / 0.00 0.0 / 0.0

Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

Well, there hasn't been any updates to the crunching chart (DSFL still showing 64 days dated June 18). Therefore, extrapolating previous free fall behavior, I would say we have been 12 to 16 days less which would put the days on the chart between 48 & 52 days. If the decline continues as before, that means that there are aprox 12 to 17 days left to the project. Hopefully, the induced slowdown will have some effect and there are actually more days available for DSFL.

(disclaimer: I'm not a statistician. The above numbers were calculated using the rotational speed of the earth, the gravitational pull and the wind direction. Since any of these variables can change, please do take the above with caution. Do not try this at home. biggrin )

Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

dskagcommunity, thanks for the info. So the drop in days wasn't as severe as my note indicated it could be. It seems that the slowdown may be having an affect after all (although the daily run time, peaking at 132 years, hasn't dropped any). hhhmmm... maybe I didn't take the atmospheric pressure into account. Yes, it must have been that. biggrin

Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

We are running through ~3 batches per day.
We are starting to get work for batch 19 which leaves 35 batches left to go (53-18).

My prediction is we have 12-13 days left before new work runs out.
Maybe the techs will give the "xx days left" signal this week.

I should have no issues meeting my 5 year goal before the project ends.

Re: The "Drug Search for Leishmaniasis" Crunching Chart

I'll never make my 5 year goal :( I need about 51 days 'all out" But still, I'm glad to see a project ending if that means advancing the science :)
