Upinger has a bronze as well, but you're not likely to see him posting about it here. Myself, I only have three days validated so far...plenty waiting in pv though.

I did not know there was a new project, and I got my Bronze already. I just dedicated all my machines here so I am on my way to Sapphire. It should only take a week, if there is enough WUs to go around.

Validation and wingmen let me down. I think I now have enough for bronze but missed the deadline to get it in time.

Well I should have Bronze when the PV's validate. I had to abort 5 (didnt think people wanted to wait a week while I was in Mexico). I hit no new tasks but 4 were still suspended so I had no time; I hate aborting work units... sorry bout that.

Well, at least user DeApen.Nikhef][DPC]DeApen.Nikhef already has a bronze badge! [DPC]DeApen.Nikhef is the best one of our team at the moment. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewMemberInfo.do?userName=[DPC]DeApen.Nikhef (looks like impossible to put the right link in here) This guy has only been registered since 07/30/2011 ???!!! Wow, he is putting down some impressive numbers. ![]() But you're the first I see that's posting here with a badge! ![]() |

I've hit bronze on my profile sheet but it's yet to show in the forum pages. (first time I've seen that happen)
----------------------------------------@Jack007, so that answers why some people were getting resends almost as soon as the project started. Very wise to switch off when you know you are going to be away for a prolonged period and there's nobody there in case things go wrong.A question for others: If you have BOINC set to run as a service and your machines reboot for some reason, would BOINC restart even if your machines were sitting at a logon screen? ![]() Crunching in memory of my Mum PEGGY, cousin ROPPA and Aunt AUDREY. |

There's up to an hour delay the script takes to populate the forum sidebar information. So now it's 12:44 UTC and I see you've been bronzed. Grats
----------------------------------------edit: The purpose of a service install is exactly that... have it start before anyone signs in. If it hinders you can set a delay in the cc_config.xml in case you plan to log in ASAP on a frequent basis. --//-- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 2, 2011 12:47:23 PM] |

I got a new bronze badge this morning. I hope to have sapphire by the end of the month. The only thing I would stop for now is betas.

Congrats, my fellow Texan (may be I wasn't born here, but at least I got here as fast as I could ). I don't have quite that oomph you appear to be blessed with, but I will make that up with some overtime this weekend and join you on the bronzy side soon. After that I will also be putting out buckets for more betas again. Still a long way for my greek letter to turn from metal to gem. |

I've got my quad-core running mostly this, except for CEP units (avg 1 a day) and Beta. So far, I have 5 validated and 7 in PV jail. DSLP units are running cleanly, which is nice after the weirdness in some beta units I had recently.
----------------------------------------I'm not a badge-chaser (don't have enough machines for that) but I'll focus on DSLP until at least bronze - I really hate those empty spaces in my statistics :D Then I'll probably alternate between this and DDDT2 - controlling vector-borne diseases is something I care a lot about, so it's great to have both options.
