I copied the entire BOINC directory from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data on each "network locked" computer, and saved each in their own directory on a memory stick.
----------------------------------------Then, I backed up my BOINC directory and took my laptop to another network. I deleted the BOINC directory in the folder above, then copied in one of the saved ones from my other computers. I then started WCG and it uploaded the finished jobs. For those computers that still had jobs in progress, I saved these folders for later (as the laptop started processing the incomplete work for each). I'm on the 5th computer's BOINC directory now, and so far three different types of systems (all running XP) have uploaded fine by this method. Thanks, all, for your help on this. Mick ![]() |

One issue - whatever computer used for reporting is the Device Name in the statistics.
----------------------------------------Not a big deal, really. I have also set preferences to have 10 days of cache, using the network every 10 days, just to give them some data without trying to get through the firewall. Once the work is downloaded to my computer on the non-firewall network I can copy the BOINC directory to the comuters that are islanded, and they seem to crunch. I will see if these can be taken by the same means for uploading again in a few days. ![]() |
