Using BIONIC Manager 6.12.33(x64) I have three devices. Each has its own selected profile (home, work & school). How can I change a device name? Is it as simple as deleting and recreating it with the new name? If so will any data be lost or will results just be listed with an additional device name?

yoro42,
Those profiles, home, school, work, are locations, which names cannot not be changed. The device names are what you named your computer in the operating system. They show up in e.q. the My Grid > Result status page. --//-- |

SekeRob,
----------------------------------------I've renamed my PC but the device name remains the same as the original PC name. ![]() |

Presume your client communicated with the project servers after the change. Don't know what OS you're on... maybe you have to boot the device before the network learns of the newly assigned device name.

SekeRob,
----------------------------------------Thanks for the clue. I rebooted all three PCs starting the PC with the name change first and the device name changed went through. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by yoro42 at Aug 15, 2011 1:08:31 AM] |
