I have three PCs running WCG applications. Is it (or will it ever be) possible to move/transfer work that is 'Ready to start' from one computer (device) to another (a manual balancing act)?

It is possible, but pretty complex. Do a search for the term "sneaker net" and you should get all the information you need.

Hello yoro42,
KWSN - A Shrubbery is correct. The design of BOINC makes this nearly impossible. Don't do it. I seem to recall that this was an intentional choice by the BOINC architects. Lawrence |

Hi Lawrence,
----------------------------------------Good to know that it is possible. The management involved is far to intensive for my needs. II will NOT do it. Thanks to you and KWSN - A shrubbery ![]() |

You can do it, but you need to be very carefull. BOINC service has to be completely shut when manipulating the BOINC data and also be very careful about permisions when using LINUX.
