Woo Hoo!! Another million-plus day! Nice work everyone! Rej, Gerard, I see your points getting higher still. Those new machines are making their presence known! You guys don't go overboard out there. Getting into trouble with the boss can be a good thing when done right - after all, making up can be quite enjoyable! laughing

The key is getting in trouble the RIGHT way. Bit of chaos here. Wireless router died this morning. Picked up a new one and think I may have a go at setting it up so I can quit running the DSL modem upstairs to the quad and back. Looks like another night of just 4-5 hours of sleep. Sigh! RT, today is one of far too many days of infamy around the world. Thing with those though is that the days that follow those tend to be some of the best! If only both aisles of Congress would take note of that. Come November, incumbent is going to equate with unemployed!

I read an article a while ago that said Texas would have drought conditions through October. Only 104' here in Laredo today.

Yes, I read a similar one. It suggests the Pacific "El whatever" is to blame...sounds like El Nada.

I doubt that all this record setting is necessary. It costs us all in so many ways. From environmental to financial. Mother nature seems just plain mean sometimes.

Glad to see Frankie Cranking. (well almost rhymed). I agree Judson, get that other machine cranking. Progress!

Yes... Million point days. It does not appear that we can make up for the sub million point days enough to enable a 365 million point year. But, everyone is doing what they can.

I am so sick of our Federal Government. It is a bloated, self preserving parasite. I don't know if changing out all the politicians with new ones will help but we have to try something. I am thinking that a balanced budget amendment (preventing politicians from giving away our children's and grand children's earnings) and the substitution of a nationwide sales tax (without exemptions) for income tax would fix a lot. angry
