Well RT, you at least now have an excuse for a new I7. I guess you could get technical and say it doesn't count but what guy can turn down an excuse for a new "toy"?   exactly Now the whole point of this is to encite someone else to suffer along with me. Looks like xroule has already bitten the bullet (twice). OK...so hopefully someone will "belly up to the bar".. (I just placed the order for the parts that I did not already have). Come on...someone jump in on this.  I do have a C4D that should be contributing sometime sooner or later.....  - D |

My quad has started crunching WUs for the new DSFL project as well. Looking like 7-7.5 hours each at this point but that could change once it finishes a few. Gerard doesn't post often but when he does, man! A few more posts like that from him and we'll be talking 400 million! Seriously, it's great to see new machines being added by folks. It's also been great seeing our new members making a real difference too. Seeing more folks posting here would be the icing on the cake. RT, tread carefully!  I was serious about the I7s. These DSFL WUs seem to be taking a bit over 4 hours on my 4.1Ghz 2600K. It looks like my WUs will drop to about 1/4 of what they were since the HCC WUs ran in just over an hour. Back to the I7s....any takers  I really want to get an i7, but it will have to wait until sometime in 2012. I have completed all of the HCC WUs on my systems so the DSFL is getting full attention. On my systems, the DSFL take over six hours per WU and the HCC about an hour and a half. My results count will go way down. I currently have two and one half days on DSFL, so I expect to have the bronze by the end of the day. |

Starting a new project is always such fun. Looks like those of us with the bigger setups are starting to get some of the new DSFL WU's out of PV. Points rebounded nicely today. Still, for many of us, we're still finishing up our first few WUs. The number of members returning a results each day should recover over the next few days as things get back to the usual with DSFL incorporated into that. We could still have a nice break out day as well but we'll just have to wait and see on that. DSFL WUs run 5.25 to 6.5 hours on my quad, with the occasional outlier. One third of my DSFL WUs are in PV for now though the 12 I have as valid are good for just shy of three days of runtime. The batch I have on the quad should get me to bronze but I plan to go back to working on sapphire on CEP2, Water and DDDT2. DSFL could get back into play as I hit sapphire on one of those. Besides, something tells me there's something else new coming. Just a gut feel that is.

Looks like the team is doing great! Frank's bride is up and going! Bought my wife a new laptop but she refuses to let me put WCG on it! I too am curious as to what is a C4D? Have a great night and the new machine is over clocked at 4.34 Ghz and runs 8 WU's at a time so will be nice to see how she cranks.
