Yeah...I have picked up 69 so far. What's your secret? If you starve your dogs, they become more aggressive. LOL I keep only the WU's needed to keep the systems busy. Then when BETA's roll in, they gobble them up like fresh meat. |

I think it was just a small test. The window only seemed to be open for about 5 minutes before they were gone.

Yes - that was a short test. Got the data we needed to validate the change. Now implementing the change across the other servers. We probably won't be able to get another beta started until tomorrow morning (US time). If that beta goes well (crosses fingers), we will be able to scale up the beta and complete testing all of our projects with this set up.

Chirp Chirp! chirpWhat's wrong with that picture? Coffee and crickets don't mix. At least not the chocolate covered ones. |

Stuck download of wcgrid_beta11_qchem_6.40_windows_intelx86 (Resolved)
----------------------------------------Stuck at 0% down, not responsive to Suspend/Resume Network Activity. [Edit]: Responded to restarting BOINC service, downloaded at 560kB/s. BOINC 6.2.19 x64 under XP-64 Could be just "one of those things" where 6.2.19 does not recover from the very occasional communications glitch. What's wrong with that picture? That's not a cricket, it's a grass hopper. I noticed it after I posted it. |

I have got my first (and probably last) CEP2 beta around 2:20 UTC without looking for any.
----------------------------------------It downloaded everything, application files included, in 4mn and 9 seconds at a combined speed of at least 750 kBps (the last big file was showing 560 kBps when it finished). It was going too fast for me to estimate the combined speed more precisely and to remember all file sizes but it was impressive. It seems that you got it, Kevin. |

I got the message around 1:30 UTC
----------------------------------------"Message from server: Beta - The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 requires 96.00 kbps download bandwidth. Your computer has been measured at 48.93 kbps." My net transfer speed should be higher than the server estimated. Also my rig can download and crunch normal CEP2 wus successfully. knreed had some words about this situation in the thread knreed post . Seems others can download CEP2 beta successfully maybe it is not server problem this time. Does anyone have idea to solve it? |
