Probably not until this current Beta test is complete and they're using these new download servers...

The new targets are still in the works. The latest estimate for the new work units from Chiba is the beginning of July. Thank you for your continued interest in this project. Seippel Now that they've finished watching the Woman's World Cup, any new estimate? |

knreed gave also indication v.v. the new download servers ''go live''. Not heard that work had conclusively finished and been signed off ** nor have I seen the HFCC beta that has to be run before that could be contemplated. When that comes, we're a step closer. :D
------------------------------------------//-- Edit: ** So happens it was signed off and announcement of new servers gone live made: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,31492 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 18, 2011 7:49:50 PM] |

Now that they've finished watching the Woman's World Cup, any new estimate? I'm crunching away at everything else until they come up, there's plenty of work out there:) [ot] USA had their chances and couldn't capitalize, Japan (except for that red card foul and I understand why she did it, probably anyone would have....) played one heck of a ame! Hearty Congratulations on a great game and well deserved win [/ot] |

We had a status meeting with the researchers today.
The researchers told us that they are still working on preparing the work units and now estimate a delivery date of "early August". So if nothing goes wrong, we can expect to receive them prior to August 15. Our next meeting with the the researchers is on August 16. Expect the next update then (unless the work units arrive before that date). Thanks!!!! |

There's at least 2 Targets with the same compounds [not heard anything different], so looking at the previous 3 Target run, count on 13 million tasks or 10k CPU years equivalent.
The average computer power has increased by 10-15% over the past year, so it will be a little quicker this round...6 months maybe, depending what other sciences at WCG do. To emphasize, this is a 2 target estimate. Hope that helps to scheme your badge plan :D --//-- |

dango, last time I heard, the scientists were talking about 2 new targets - and, if you look at the charts, that'll give you a rough ideas as to how long that'll take.
----------------------------------------Hopefully, as things become firmer and we approach nearer the relaunch date, the scientists will come back to us and give us a firm idea as to the numbers of WU's/targets involved. I'm certainly looking to 'up' my Emerald badge to Sapphire - which, for me, will take ~4 months. |

6 seconds ;>)
Notably, the techs mentioned a pre-launch beta. It surely is to test the new download servers, but hoping a little bit there will also be a 64 bit version to test. --//-- |
