It's Platform Number 9 for Halle Arrivals -It was an innocent enough question on facebook- Shopping for the last chance to get the famous Chocolates Gifts, Cards, Tickets. Passports, Foreign Announcements. Could they make the 17:32 to Bruges if they went right now? No...right now. Departures -But I knew the answer- Like the monolithic beams and girders supporting, for so long, the train lines above I was bolted to the floor Fossilised, Frozen Cast in Bronze Welded, Static, Stationary Not another step further as the whole World rushed on bye In that busiest of all places, I, like the Tin Man, had ground to a halt -"Doesn't She miss you when you are away?"- . |
