Your GPU would give you 0 WCG WU's.

The answer is variable depending on your mix of applications. Why don't you put it to work and then tell us how many WU you finish in say a ten day period ?

If I had a i7 990x cpu and a Quadro FX 3800 192 CUDA Cores How many work units About 192 if you just crunched for HCC and each task took about 90min. could I do in 1 day ? Most other projects would be less. You would of course be better off buying 2 Sandy Bridge systems (for about the same price) as that would mean 16 threads instead of 12, and about 256 tasks per day. Who knows how BullDozer will perform (in a month or two) and come the fall we are likely to see high end SB processors, with extras ;) |

Who knows how BullDozer will perform (in a month or two) and come the fall we are likely to see high end SB processors, with extras ;) 65 Watts per processor is my sweet spot when looking for a CPU replacement. If they can increase performance while not going over 65 Watts, that will be cat's meow for me. ![]() |
