Re: UK

Well maybe not since it seems the supply of Beta WUs has already been exhausted. sad Still I think it shows the tremendous untapped crunching potential there is just waiting for a fully working GPU project. smile

Re: UK

Looking back through my message-history on the single machine I have a GPU allowed to crunch, doesn't look like my client grabbed any...

However, I do now have my first two Emerald badges! cool

Re: UK

So far in June the UK team has had 66 members active. Probably 60 of these people have never posted in the forum and have never even been mentioned in my, or anyone else's, comments. Nevertheless their contribution is important and without them the UK team would just be another insignificant team amongst the other 700 United Kingdom teams.

Steve_the_Bird has the distinction of being the longest serving member of the UK team still crunching, having joined way back on 27/11/04! CONNIE and robjr are close behind having joined in Dec 2004. Honourable mention too for the 2005 sign-ups still crunching - Barker-uk, Nigel Bolley, RussellBest, gibbcorp, dubmail.net, Tom Welsh, davgreen, Sofalover, Largy

The collective thanks of the UK team to you all for your continuing contribution. hugs

Re: UK

Its that time again for a look in the crystal ball to predict team progress in the Global Rankings. smile

RunTime Current Rank #91
Fundación Proacceso have posted 37years RT in the last 7 days and are now only 12:129:17:49:24 behind so 2-3 days before we're bounced to #92. sad
The threat from HKU & Kansas State University can now be classed as Vey Long Term (>360 days). smile
It's generally been a good week for performance v our target teams:

IBM Taiwan #86 65 100

Will be a while, yet, although with "143 Days and 178.4 Gflops", I am catching up on two other UK team-members who also have Gold globe-signatures:

stroudwaterboy: 164 Days & 50.4 Gflops
douglasalt1: 166 Days & 34.0 Gflops

Re: UK

Points Current Rank #91

HTCMania continue as a Medium term threat currently 34 days (previously 58 days).
TeAm AnandTech are a Very (very) long term threat - 2,315 days wink

We continue to make progress against all our target teams smile :

BOINC@MIXI #83 120 297
America (USA) #84 172 208
SWARH #85 70 (not previously shown as a target)
IBM Web Innovators & Friends #86 112 154
Hungary #87 77 100
IBM Massachusetts #88 47 76
Romania #89 11 37
HKU #90 Unquantified

Results Current Rank #88
There currently no threats! (See note #2)

We will pass SWARH #87 in tonight's update and IBM Web Innovators & Friends #86 in 7-8 days. biggrin

Our new targets and a preliminary estimate of days to pass:

Hungary #82 55
Something Awful Goons #83 33
IBM Massachusetts #84 22
HTCMania #85 Unquantified

Notes:

  • I noted in my post 6 Jun that the predicted days to pass a target were based on the previous day's performance and that this made the predicition very volatile. I have attempted to overcome this by using an average of the last 7 days performance. Thus whilst the current predictions are more robust, there are some anomalies when compared to the 6 Jun predictions. The revision does not apply to the 4 new Points targets, insufficient data being available.
  • Having been caught out once before I'm very loathe to say There currently no threats! So I will be looking further afield to see what lies over the horizon. wink

Ho hum, what a can of worms that turned out to be! tired

I've reviewed over 200 teams who outperformed the UK yesterday in at least one of the three categories - RT, Pts, Res.

17 teams were identified as posing 27 threats to our All Time Rankings!

4 teams and 4 threats had already been noted and are detailed in the earlier posts. Thankfully most of the remainder can be classed as Extremely Long Term (>730 days).

However Crunching@EVGA threaten in all 3 categories!

Points 28 days; Results 68 days; RunTime 175 days

Full details are available here.

Note: This work was based on yesterdays performance only and should be viewed with caution.

P.S. It's my birthday next month. If the team would like to club together to buy me an anorak...... biggrin

Yes, it seems the entire platform was offline for a few hours, forums and unit-receivers...
