Re: UK

I doubt I'm going to get HCMD2 up to Sapphire unless they do another run, as I still have a fair way to go:

Re: UK

Three. Two are mine. The other one turned up one day and never left. What can you do.

I know what you mean, many years ago, when we first moved to Somerset, we had a young stray cat (more a kitten really, 6 months old at best), take a liking to us and she managed to sneek in to the house one particularly cold evening and decided that, that is where she wanted to live.

we woke up the next morning to a flea ridden cat sleeping between us on our pillows (nice laughing ), and she was with us until her death aged 8 & 1/2 (ish).. RIP crying

Re: UK

Oooh sweet! And so sad when they die. Just over a year ago I still had five. But yeah this one that turned up, about 4 years ago now, how a cat can be both feral (she won't eat cat food, only her own kills) and a neck scarf, I don't know. The most affectionate cat I've ever seen, yet nobody had reported her missing.
I'll shut up now smile

Re: UK

I will be adding a new i3 3110M 2.4 GHz laptop to the fleet in about a weeks time. Not much horsepower but will certainly be faster than the Pentium 4 desktop it replaces.

Re: UK

This thread brought a smile wink

A petition to the WHite House to build a 'Death Star' shock

and further in the thread a link to a BBC report to a project to build a 'full-size Millennium Falcon'

I suppose if these were British projects we'd be using matchsticks! laughing

Apparently (so our neighbors told us), the cat was dumped when it's owners were moving, just let her out of the house, got in their car and drove away angry

That was about 3 months before we moved in to a house a few doors away from where they had lived.. Locals were feeding her scraps (as did we), but none were interested in letting her in their homes..

I must admit, nor were we really (as in we were still settling in and owning a cat wasn't in our minds), but she wouldn't come any were near us anyway, she would enter the garden, sit on the far wall, see the plate of bits be put on the ground and then wait for us to go in and shut the door before stalking the plate and eating..

That's way I thought it strange that she chose us?, that said though, it was winter and snow wasn't far away, we only had the door open to de-fume the house during painting, she snuck in, went upstairs and hid until we were asleep, then invaded our pillows (first I knew of it, was when I was woken up by my wifes sudden purring laughing I thought my luck was in dancing laughing ).
