can we know about any sort of progress tied to our processing power?

i know all progress isnt going to be a breakthrough, perhaps none of it will be, but to know about any minor advancement contributions by our processing donation would be great, perhaps a mild perspective change in science, etc..

would help build morale and increase contributors

thanks for any response to my question, and i apologize if this specific question has been answered already which i see no evidence of.

Re: can we know about any sort of progress tied to our processing power?

confused
Milestones are exciting but are frustratingly hard to identify in scientific research. So far, FAAH has found 2 new anti-HIV protease chemical compounds 'in silico". So will this lead to 0, 1 or 2 new anti-HIV drugs? Only time will tell.

HDC (Help Defeat Cancer) produced very hopeful results in just a few months, using our computers to automatically check biopsy samples for cancer. There are now a number of universities and other organizations following up with Dr. Foran on this project.

You can read all the research progress reports, but I think it would be unrealistic to describe any of our results as a clear "hole-in-one". We are contributing to scientific research. Many tiny rivulets join together into small creeks which run into streams which eventually merge into rivers.

true enough, but it would be nice to gain perspective on the outcome of our contributions, how relevant our donations were

but its all good, as long as our pc's are being used in a worthwhile way then its all good, and ofcourse ill be doing this till im 100, assuming the whole community doesnt sell out to corporations or something that has nothing to do with the wellness of human kind
