confused Support for Google Chrome CR-48?

I am a new user. I have spent over an hour trying to post a new topic and found out the new post button is at the lower right corner of the page and the button is really small. Bad call on the HTML and JS. The webmaster/mistress needs to fix this.

Also, the whole site has crashed Google Chrome several times. The load times are horrible. I cannot use the service if the actual site crashes.

But that is not why I am here. I need to know when/if/why there is no support for cloud-computing and /or the Google Chrome CR-48 netbook? I have one and I am not able to download the software at this time. How hard would it to program using a web server, PHP & Perl, and a client (HTML5 & CSS3), to use the WCG in real time in a web browser like the Google Chrome?

If this has been answered already, then please point to the relevent topic. I am not able to search through the hundreds of posts with the phrase "cloud computing" in them. I wish there was a way to search for specific strings on the forums. Thank you for your attention.

1. the NEW THREAD, not NEW POST button is at the bottom right and top right of each section of the forum. Also this Forum software is a standard one provided from elsewhere.....suggest to speak to them

2. I have been using Google Chrome for years and it has never been crashed by this site....I suggest you check your machine.

3. The main software used is BOINC, created by Berkley so maybe you should be asking them, not IBM?

Re: Support for Google Chrome CR-48?

I peruse and post on these forums using Chrome on my Droid X phone and have not had any problems.

You could go to http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/DevProjects and give it a try. They are always looking for help.

Re: Support for Google Chrome CR-48?

I believe he is talking about the Chrome OS not the browser specifically as far as crashing. That OS is still in its infancy and therefore a very tiny user base at the moment. Spending resources on an unproven OS is not really financially feasible especially when it is very limited and low powered hardware that it targets at the moment. (tablets and netbooks) Keep also in mind that the Chrome OS runs on top of the Linux kernel, so the possibility is there, it just requires support. As far as crunching from the browser, that would come from Berkeley since WCG doesn't code the BOINC software.
