Chris, you're going to swear you've died and gone to heaven this summer between the pool and running the a/c as low as you want! How's that boy of yours doing???Hi Keith, I kind of did a little test the other day on the panels. I had the swamp cooler on high, all of the computers on, every TV, and had the crock pot on high. The meter was still running backwards. Not very fast, but all that energy wasn't costing a thing! My son is doing great - thanks for asking! Summer is getting near, so he's getting anxious about that. Off to work for me - everyone have a great day! ![]()

Well work has kept me busy (not the servers tough as I'm not responsible for them). My responsibility is in development of our ERP system and since first quartile we can do some changes. Another thing that has kept my interests else where is trying to finish designs and find crew to build my house. It's such a shame that politicians has decided that Finland is so north that solar power is not worth any incentives.

So close to 4 mil points, I can taste it. Hi Alain!! Good to hear from you! My rough estimate has you at 3-4 days (counting today) from hitting four million so this should be a good weekend for you. With the numbers you're putting up these days, that fifth million will probably come much quicker too. |

It's such a shame that politicians has decided that Finland is so north that solar power is not worth any incentives. Oh right, I had forgotten about that project. Designing a house is work enough. I wish you smooth sailing building it! That's a full time job by itself. You'll be checking things at least once a day if not more, even with a really good crew. The lack of tax incentives for solar just removes one factor from the decision process. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing. Wind may be a option too, expecially with the "egg-beater" style windmills out there. |

I've cut my propane costs way back (about 75%) with the dual-fuel setup I have. It would be nice to do the same with the electric. I think I'll always draw from the grid though even with solar just because of the well pump. I have a 6500 watt generator and 3500 of that is just to kick the pump on. It uses next to nothing once it's pumping but is a bear to start! |

He called them back and said that he doesn't want to pay for electricity anymore and he wants a bigger one. So, they are setting him up with a 6.8 KW system at about $140 a month. He seldom has a bill below $140, so that will be his only bill, now. Talk about a level pay plan! Now I'm jealous of him! I've got room for 8 more panels, so I might have to give them a call.So far this month, I am now at 110 KW below what they read at the start of the month, with 15 days to go before the next meter read. I'm curious how much SCE is going to pay for that power.
