I guess yesterdays Linux update has caused an issue for Boinc
![]() Oh well, I'm sure it will be fixed quickly enough once they realise there is a problem. |

Same to me... but with no cache... So I had to crunch on my subproject, until this issue is solved... The latest 6.10 client and up allow specification of a Zero Project Weight / Resource value so these *Backup* projects really only fetch work when there is none to crunch any of your favourites. No need to suspend these project then or set ultra extreme share differences such as 10000 for WCG and 1 for the Backup. Theoretically as soon as WCG is then up again, the backup project work is parked and I think to have read, left there until the deadline comes near. You then may decide to crunch this parked work or not. --//-- PS, the server monitor system would have sent some text messages to the standby crew, so hopefully a tech was woken up to the situation (lest the cell is charging in the barn ;>) |

Thx, Sekerob...
----------------------------------------I always crunch with a "0"-Ressource-Projekt.. :D But most of the time, there will be no credits, because WCG has a really large uptime and "downtimes" are really, i mean reeeeaaaaaaally rare.. :D

Yes indeed.
----------------------------------------Et Al: Plz be patient as the validators are now on a 6 hour catch up ride to clear the backlog. We're 8 minutes before midday stats, so lots will slip into the afternoon session. Thx --//-- edit: Known Issues post just made by knreed http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,30971 Ride On :D [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 3, 2011 11:55:21 AM] |
