Re: Last Target?

We started L4 at the end of Janurary meaning we have been crunching for 12 days and the fact that we are on batch 36 means L4 will take a total of 95 days ((days_crunch/batch_done*total_number_of_batch) = 12/36*286). This means there will be roughly 83 days left.

Re: Last Target?

But look how HFCC has been widening recently: 3 day avg tasks, yesterday

The other way to look at is is ~71000-72000 results per day / (10000 * 2) results per batch => 3.575 batches per day currently. (286 - 36) / 3.575 => perhaps only 70 days left, no?

"perhaps only 70 days left, no?"

The units have been relatively short lately, but I don't think it will last. They probably will lengthen.
If you look at the Crunching chart you will see the dip over the last few days.

Sooner we are done the better, as far as I'm concerned.
Any one of these units could potentially help a child with cancer.

You linked to the 1 day chart ;>)

Present plots suggest about April 29 +/- 2 days for the last *original* WU to go out (present mean 7 day is 74,661 results). When winding down target 3, it took 22 days until validations completely ended after that, but after the 11th day, dailies really became repair/no reply/too late trickles.

Re: Last Target?

8 days long no new guesstimations of last regular task distribution.
Since 01-batch 19.4 days are gone. Receiving now tasks of batch 70.
Quick calculation of estimated time of last regular task distribution somewhere between 22nd of April and 25th of April.
I've 125 runtime-days to go to reach my 1st Sapphire badge. After that goal achieved I'll remove HFCC from my preferences to leave tasks for other badge hunters.

Re: Last Target?

I have calculated that, of the work I still have in cache, I will have upgraded to Ruby. Therefore I have finished requesting HFCC WUs, unless I need 1 or 2 more to make sure I get to my goal.

Re: Last Target?

You're right on the mark, April 23 +/- 2 days, BUT, the mean run times from Friday shot up by 1.3 hours per task for (Saturday +0.9 and Sunday +1.3), which was shook off since Sunday of all days showed record CPU years of 66 CPU years for this last target.

Different view: Target 5 took about 5000 CPU years to get through. We've done ~1025 on L4 and last 7 days been 420, and still on that rising curve. Remaining 4000 yrs / 420 yrs is give & take 9-10 weeks. Without hiccups, we'll surely be out of new work to fetch by EOM April.

Hit them up, move them on.

Re: Last Target?

To get my Emerald badge I need about another 179 days. I add 2.5 to 5 days of run time per day. Hope I'll get there. I'm using a I7 980/HT on 3.33Ghz for 8 to 14 hours per day. Currently working on batchs 0088 & 0090.
