ugh i hope i shifted here soon enough...looks like i am going to need 3 solid months of crunching... I am afraid i may not make the next badge before we run out of work This is BEYOND unofficial but... Based on the charts in the FAQ, I'm looking at about 110 days of work IF we get back to 55 years per day. Thats about where we were before the server died. The bad news is that if we make another run at setting a new record (currently 68.7 years per day), we'll wrap up in less than 87 days. I personally consider that unlikely. 3 projects have come online since HFCC went live. At this point a big DDDT-2 distribution is probably your (and my) best friend. Again, this is super unofficial for a number of reasons. The biggest 'unknown' on my end is how much faster this grid is compared to last year. A year of work in 2009 would presumably get less done, simply because of faster processors. |

Another factor which may come into play, is if there's another project launched within this possible 3 month period...
----------------------------------------Personally, I'm hoping that flu2 won't be that far away - although what with the recent DDDT2 WU failures, that may push that phase 2 out a bit... Oh the joys of attempting to reach for that next badge |

Let me know :)
Greetings,

19 is not the half of 285 I missed a decimal place. :) So currently we're around 9%. Thanks! |

I noticed I procesed to tasks from 00229500
----------------------------------------HFCC_L4_00229500_L4_0000 Valid 2/7/11 21:46:45 2/8/11 20:18:17 3.23 84.6 / 68.4 HFCC_L4_00229500_L4_0001 Valid 2/7/11 21:46:46 2/8/11 20:18:17 3.23 84.7 / 71.7 1 thing I did note in the log at docking 13 was this message Failed to get VersionInfo size: 2 Restoring grahics. bestEnergy: -5.975220 maxGenSeen: 6750 AG Check: Found receptor.A.map Beginning AutoDock... INFO: Setting num_generations: 27000 About to enter main loop...(dockings already completed: 13) Failed to get VersionInfo size: 2 Restoring grahics. bestEnergy: -5.975220 maxGenSeen: 6750 AG Check: Found receptor.A.map Beginning AutoDock... INFO: Setting num_generations: 27000 About to enter main loop...(dockings already completed: 13) Finished Docking number 13 is this normal? This is the 1st time I've noticed this. Is this a common that 1 pc will work on 2 tasks from the same task number? HFCC_ L4_ 00229107_ L4_ 0001_ 0-- ran for 8.69 hours & gave me 231.6/187.1 My question is can we tell by the task numbering weather it's going to be long or short in running time? All tasks had 254 deckings & were ran on a 980X @3.33 Ghz |

I can only answer 2 questions.
----------------------------------------Is this a common that 1 pc will work on 2 tasks from the same task number? In short, its not common, but its possible. All compounds (the 10 digit number) in HFCC are split into 2 tasks (the 4 digit number). You just happened to get both. Nothing wrong about it. Interesting to be sure though. My question is can we tell by the task numbering weather it's going to be long or short in running time? Not as far as I can tell. The average task times seem down for me compared to the end of the L3 units (and seemingly climbing back up, on average), but there is no way to tell how long run time will be until the unit starts. Thanks themerrill for your response. As of 31 Jan 5.98 hours/task with a up arrow beside it.
