Re: No tasks from Clean Energy Project - Phase 2

This:

1/10/2011 10:05:33 PM World Community Grid Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.

Is a user initiated work request, when there's no need for work in 99.99% of the cases. You need to wait till the client needs more backfill or up the cache, which is when the agent normally initiates a request... not instantaneous... the agent works slow. To force the hand, as suggested, change your science selection [temporarily] to CEP2 only and the client will surely log something specific on next work fetch, when it's time.

The [mighty] SekeRob, sees that the device settings are plentiful to be able to crunch CEP2, so that's not a problem.

PS, thread moving is not of the greatest importance, as the title is quite clear what the topic is about. It will get done in time, automagically.

Re: No tasks from Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 [RESOLVED]

You are correct. I have submitted a request myself, just to see the messages I get. I misunderstood what you said.

Anyway, I think I found my problem in the end. I increased the additional work buffer from the standard 0.3 to 1, then unchecked my other projects and requested an update and so I got my first CEP2 task!

I believe the problem was that since the task I got was estimated at almost 10 hours, my 0.3 days would mean only 8 hours of processing which logically isn't room enough for such a task. So now I've set my work buffer to 0.5. I think 12 hours should be sufficient, don't you agree?

Cheers!
