I have a Dell XPS 420, windows Vista, home Premium, Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz, 3G memory.
Under "Messages" when requesting new tasks I get this statement: Scheduler Communication failed: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA Certificates. I have 'detach' computer a couple of times and still the same problem. I have four or five of the same type computers and no problem with them. This has been going on for sometime now. Any suggestions to correct problem would be appreciated. |

 The computer clock is part of the security process. The wrong date messes it all up. wplachy is right.Lawrence |

No I haven't Bill. . Maybe someone else has an easier suggestion. Actually that is beyond my capabilities.

----------------------------------------I just had the same problem on a Vista laptop. I was running BOINC 6.10.18. I installed the latest (6.10.58) over it and all is working well. I did a search before changing versions & couldn't find the certificate file mentioned in the thread above. I think that was my problem.  |

On windoz boxes that error 90%+ of the time it is a date/time setting issue, with out any additional information, there is not much we can say or suggest

Running BOINC6.10.58: Just detached and downloaded WCG and this is what I still get.
