Re: Device not found in Device Manager, but appears in Results Status

Along with some other details. This caused problems on other project forums; new users did not know who they were communicating with. Changing it back worked there.

Re: Device not found in Device Manager, but appears in Results Status

Sek, and you did the same? with the capitalized R in your member name your post count dropped to only 4 (at time of writing) confused

It was a QED exercise ;-)

PS, and to add, the forum signature does not move with the account rename either [Spock logically], in fact, lost write-access rights to the Start-Here forum (Case Sensitive) and can't modify the old one sig. The actual member account itself is not case sensitive... does not matter whether logging in as Sekerob or SekeRob, both go to the same ''renamed'' account i.e. duplicates that could cause for BOINCstats to balk is not at risk here.

Re: Device not found in Device Manager, but appears in Results Status

Seems like you've already settled this without me, but I will go ahead and confirm it anyway: yes, I did change my forum nickname and that's why the post count dropped, but no, it doesn't have anything to do with having multiple accounts or why I had problems seeing both my machines in device manager. That was just because I hadn't returned any valid results yet and since then I have and everything is ok.

Cheers!

Hi Candyman,

Before found that you really only had 1 crunching account or anything that resembled the name **, so from my perspective that was never an issue and did settle on that ;P At any rate good, the case found a close, thus, please edit your OP post title ... hmmm, you can't since you changed your handle ;-), so maybe the admin can insert [RESOLVED]

happy crunching.

** Typing the old and new forum name in Member Comparison page shows who's doing it :D

Re: Device not found in Device Manager, but appears in Results Status [RESOLVED]

Thanks for the tips, SekeRob! I also thought about "closing" the thread by editing the title, but as you also realized, I can't anymore.

Hence, if any admin reads this, please change it for me! Thanks! wink
