Darth Vader I am currently working toward 10 years on HCC though just at 5 years. The points per hour are probably less then DDDT2 but I have run times of just over 2:12 hours per unit on my fastest machines. What are you finding with DDDT2 for run times?

Glad you are feeling better Dr. S. You had us a touch worried. I am thinking our other Doc is just a wipper-snapper that won't be feeling bad for very long.
----------------------------------------The new records are cool; I, like the rest, love to see new members and new records. I would love to add a new I7 2600 to the farm but struggle with indecision. I am not sure that my wife of oh-so-many-years would understand that it makes sense that I order a new one and give away some of the older ones just after I gave away my Pickup (son-in-law) and bought another. She is a ridiculous woman; expecting me to exercise some fiscal restraint. After all, she should know that anything worth doing is worth overdoing! It is a good thing that she does not read this forum as I might be sleeping in that Pickup. It is just hard for me to recognize when something has been overdone enough. Oh well. Good Morning MOT ![]() Edit: KeithHenry, when I send you an email it bounces. Would you check? ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by RT at Jan 28, 2011 5:15:06 PM] |

RT thanks for asking as I am doin much better! MOT is zipping along very nicely. Wr have a steady increase in out put from several members which really helps. DKT as a new member has really helped Every and even one computer contributing to MOT helps, I enjoy looking over the list of contributors, though most do not post it would be nice to hear from them. If English is an concern just look at mine as it aint that good. I heared that |

Darth Vader I am currently working toward 10 years on HCC though just at 5 years. The points per hour are probably less then DDDT2 but I have run times of just over 2:12 hours per unit on my fastest machines. What are you finding with DDDT2 for run times? With your machines if you ran HCC on linux you would be under and hour I am sure. I have a 3.4gz P4 on linux and it runs HCC around 2:90, I know your high powered jobs would do much better. Edit for accuracy and spelling Cheers

The points per hour are probably less then DDDT2 but I have run times of just over 2:12 hours per unit on my fastest machines. What are you finding with DDDT2 for run times? My DDDT2 times are a bit inconsistent. On the average, less than 2 hours and I don't have any really fast machines. Some WUs are less than 1 hour. This is for the C-type WUs, of course. A-types run many hours, B-types about 6-7 hours. The points per hour are definitely better for DDDT2 compared to HCC. Looking at the DDDT2 results that are still on my results status list: 1 WU took 4.26 hours (4:15 more or less) 1 WU took 3.08 hours (3:05 or so) 1 WU took 2.77 hours (2:45 about) 9 WUs between 2.13 and 1.72 hours 14 WUs all right around 1 hour. 1 WU took .37 hours (about 22 minutes) O.k. --- probably more than you wanted to know. I've noticed the same thing that has been commented on in other threads: The newer projects seem to produce more points per hour. CEP2 is an oddball - points per CPU hour are good, but the I/O delays cause a marked difference between elapsed time and CPU time. - D |
