Crash in Mac Application

I just restarted my Mac OS X computer on WCG, and got two C4CW WUs, both of which errored out upon startup with SIGILL. I've posted the stacktrace logs to one of them below. Anyone know what's going on?

EDIT: I guess I should post the machine's specs. It's a Unibody MacBook, running a Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, and Mac OS X 10.6.5 release. Also toting an OCZ Vertex LE 200GB if that's relevant.

Re: Crash in Mac Application

Not sure about the error, but have you run a "Verify Disk" in Disk Utility?

And make sure you have smcFanControl installed to control the heat on your CPU.

Re: Crash in Mac Application

Hi jedirock,

Whilst the manager is just the manager, the path below suggest you're running with an alternate client compile:

/Library/Application Support/Synecdoche Data/

Is it the Synecdoche forked version?

Not seen before on WCG, but have ran it myself for a little on Windows in hopes of seeing the local prefs interface to change to a draft a former CA made... the large improvement sadly never came through in their build.

Yes, it can get hot and disks do need maint/checking periodically, even if preventative. Running a re-partition presently on laptop to create a BOINC exclusive data_dir storage... ETA 2 hours :(

Re: Crash in Mac Application

codes: I have not done a Verify Disk recently, but I haven't experienced any problems with other applications. I'll run one after this post.
EDIT: Well, look at that. Found a missing thread record and an extra file. I'll restart and repair now.

brinkastee: No smcFanControl installed, but I have iStat menus which also can set the fan speeds. I used to use smcFanControl, but I've moved everything under iStat menus now because I use it anyway.

Sekerob: Yes, I'm a developer for Synecdoche, although PovAddict/Nicolas and I haven't had much time to work on it over the past couple months. I'm the main Mac version developer, which is why I run it. Synecdoche shouldn't be the problem though, as it's essentially version 6.2 before GPU computing was added in. I'm also running WCG successfully under Synecdoche on my Fedora 13 desktop.
