Lots of Inconclusive

Hello,

Anyone is experiencing basically all the wus going into Inconclusive state?

I have 16 reported today as of now in this situation.

Nothing really worrying, but...

Thanks!
L.

Re: Lots of Inconclusive

I've had a few, however they seem to resolve in fairly short order. At this point it isn't anything that raises flags for me, however I will keep a lookout for an increase in the "problem."

Re: Lots of Inconclusive

For what it's worth: When I make my daily check, there are typically seven to twelve 'Inconclusive' Results in the queue. Some linger for days but most resolve by the next day.

Edit: To put that in perspective, it's based on more than 20 cores devoted to c4cw.

Re: Lots of Inconclusive

It is typical. And lots of forum entries for that.

Here's one of them:

For some reason, this project has a particular higher rate of WUs being flagged as Inconclusive (even after having returned loads of Valid results previously), so it's not so typical.

Re: Lots of Inconclusive

Moonian,

Propose to collect data over a longer period and take snapshots at near 24:00 UTC and filter out duplicates to avoid double counts and sort by host, as when Inconclusives can loiter in the list up to 48 hours (the return time of the Reliable hosts is on average much less). The ratio to me over time seems to be in the range of 1:10, sometimes coming in bouts, where that probably is at the low end to maintain full confidence in devices WCG/Science team has no control over... all depends how much weight a single result carries within the groupings. If 1:5 is needed, than that's fine too. Still massively better than 1:1
