Is it just me? It seems like Microsoft is pushing a ton of updates lately needing re-boot. I had it set for automatic updates but with my shift work I keep coming home to computers at the log-in screen. Adds up to a lot of idle time for me.
Going to set up remote monitoring so I can keep up with the updates. ![]() |

In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

All fixed now. Thanks for the input.
I am letting it download the updates but ask me before installing so I can pick and choose if I want. Any input on the GPU comparison here? 5870 vs 7770 The 5870 has a 256 bit memory bus vs 128 bit for the 7770. By this sites numbers it seems like the 5870's are better. Am I reading this wrong?(likely since I don't have a ton of knowledge in this area) It's obvious the power consumption is way less. |

We held the Marines off for as long as we could but we couldn't get the numbers we needed.
We will just have to think long term here until more folks join the cause. Everyone doing OK? Any thoughts on the 7790 cards? ![]() |

Any thoughts on the 7790 cards? ![]() We had a little discussion, along with some links, over at my team's forum. Seems like a really nice card for the price. |

Thanks for the heads up USAFA 82. Looks like a card that might be a good bang for the buck.
I will have to do a little looking to see if it is a double precision card so it can do Milky Way when the GPU work here runs out. |

Unfortunately, my engines run at a low power. I have too much overheat and the TET are way too high. Afterburner is too risky.
