Ouch yea! Managing PV these days is more work than crunching at times. It's unavoidable to have most of your work go into PV when you start up a new machine or one that's been down awhile and needs new work. As good as it may be that WCG runs with 10 day deadlines on its WUs, that tends to may the PV issue worse. Increasing your "queue" to 2-3 days will help with the PV issue as that increases the chances that the wingman for a WU will crunch it while it's still in your queue and validates when you finish it. That also keeps you from being the wingman for others that keeps their WUs hanging in PV waiting on you. That also happens to be about the longest amount of time WCG was ever down in the past six years so you'd be able to keep crunching for that long of an outage too.
