Keithhenry thanks. One of my machines was down and is still misbehaving. I have the computer running at 100% WCG but the CPU's use on task manager keeps flucuating between 25-100 % accross all 8 cpu's. Tried multiple software repairs to no avail. Checked temp and running very cool. any ideas??

Could be normal if you're crunching CEP2s on Windows. It looks like they do a good bit of IO to disk when they checkpoint, based on what I've seen.

If you are running CEP, then the default in your device profile is likely set (near the bottom is set)

"Run The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 without restrictions? Yes No
The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 is limited on how many workunits a computer can have downloaded at a time and what minimum bandwidth the computer must have in order to receive any workunits. This setting will override those limits. "

If this is set to "No" you will see what you describe. If you change it to yes, then it will get really busy on that machine and it could have the effect Keith was talking about. Try that.
