A lot of download files whereof 3 big ones: 100MB and 2 x 66MB

A lot of download files whereof 3 big ones: 100MB and 2 x 66MB Hence the high bandwidth requirements and also the rather intense data shuffling, once your tasks are running. You should have heard the servers groan once they released CEP2 to the Wintel faction. |

I got a repair job, but it has a 2 day deadline. Assuming I won't get the same error as on copy "_1", I hope to make it on time, the average return time on my linux box is just above 2 days, so it's gonna be tight.

Came home to find 6 in cache. Excellent.

I've got two on one machine and one on another.
----------------------------------------Do we know whether this is a one-per-core distribution? |

Looks like one per core as both my Beta units are on the same dual core machine.
I have two running, showing progess of between 10% and 13% after an elapsed time of 6 hours. Does not appear to be working progress out as a percentage of 12 hour work units. |

Looks like one per core as both my Beta units are on the same dual core machine. I got 6 for 40 cores. I'm guessing that is because I have no selected in the CEP2 preferences.

Hmm, I have only one running so far, and it's showing 8% completion after just under 1 hour CPU time, so that's about right as a fraction of a 12-hr total CPU time. This is under Ubuntu Lucid. Are you running Mac or Linux? I am dying to start the 2 betas that arrived on my dual core, but it had just started two CEP2's. I can't suspend them and leave them in memory while running the equally memory-hungry betas, so I'll just have to wait while they finish. |

Are you running Mac or Linux? Linux Ubuntu 2.6.32-25. This computer used to run the CEP2 Linux workunits and lose a small amount of time. But as reported by others this changed and then the reported time became massively different to actual time. I never noticed a difference in the % progress but maybe I was not paying enough attention. |
