When I made my account here, I accidently made it with the name "qax" instead of "Qax" like I did on the rest of my accounts. Now when I look at all of my stats, I see all of my other accounts, but not this one.
I tried changing my username, but it said "Qax" was already taken, but by that it meant "qax". So if someone could change my username from qax to Qax, that'd be fantastic. |

Try rename it first Qux, save. Then rename to Qax, save. You may have to log in and out before it shows right top as the name currently signed in.

hehe, yeah.
I didn't catch that at first, but then I did it before I saw this post. That didn't fix my problem though. I think all the stat pages look at like a user account ID instead of a straight username. Because now two "Qax" accounts show up. I'd like all my stats to show up on the same page. I think someone within the program might have to manually switch my Qax username into the main Qax username account for all the other projects. It would greatly increase the likelyhood that I will cotinue this project. |

Basically, I need my World Community Grid account number, which is now 531841..........switched to my account with the rest of the projects I run, 223511.
I know it's a pain and that someone who the project will have to go into the database and change a 6 digit number....but please do it. HELP |

Hello Qax,
The original database was for UD grid code, which specifically forbade merging accounts. We hacked the BOINC server code (which does allow merging accounts) to be compatible with the UD code and ran both in tandem for more than a year while switching from UD to BOINC. Since then, we have been too busy with new projects to switch to standard BOINC. It is one of those "Some year when we get the time" situations. Maybe somebody has a solution. I suspect it would have to be a third-party statistics website. ![]() Lawrence |

Lawrence,
----------------------------------------Accounts have never been able to be merged, not UD, not BOINC. What can be merged under standard BOINC is hosts under one account, but only if they are identical... mostly same CPU/OS. Maybe the weekend drip has too little saline in it and thus inhibits proper function of the brain muzzle ;>) Qax, You might want exercise a little patience, or read up how it really works... No one will ''have or need'' to do anything but maybe you! Account roll-up is NOT member name dependent and not account ID dependent, only email address from which the Account CPID (Cross project ID) is generated. Your account is currently out of whack because you changed something. Assuming the email address for your Qax account at WCG showing as http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=531841 (created in 2008) is absolutely identical to those on the other project accounts it can take several days and a minimum of 2 active projects running on the host(s) that crunch at WCG too before the client and WCG learns what the common CPID should be (found on My Grid > My Profile). That will then also be used for WCG. For sure an account 223511 (what's the member name on that account?), was never transmitted as ever having crunched a second of work so BOINCstats does not know this account and will ignore it for ever. After tomorrow, if things still not consolidate, go into the 223511 account of WCG and enter a nonsense email address and verify that the 531841 Qax account has the proper email address recorded in My Grid > My Profile, not case sensitive, but all lowercase recommended. When a change is made it can again take several days before the different projects converge at the 3rd party statistics sites. Happy crunching. --//--

Thanks. I switched all of my e-mails to the one I currently use. I've turned the project back on. Hopefully everything synces up.
Thanks again Sekerob. |
