Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Well, it’s not quite weekend yet, but we came across this comic strip and had to share it – with a nod to our friends down the road at MIT ;)

The original strip http://xkcd.com/1037/ is actually different wherever you are – here is the summary:

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Roberto had his thesis defense today and we are very proud to now call him Dr. Olivares-Amaya! Congratulations Roberto, well done! The unfortunate part however is that Roberto will soon leave the Clean Energy Project team and we'll have to figure out how to make due without him...

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Congratulations Dr. Olivares-Amaya, and I wish you well as you embark upon a lifetime of periodically explaining to people that you're not that kind of doctor and so it would do them no good were you to look at their infected toe... biggrin

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

The team has wrapped up some more writing just in time for the deadlines: we submitted another proposal for computing time at XSEDE, the Extreme Science and Discovery Environment of the National Science Foundation, as well as our annual report for GCEP, the Global Climate and Energy Project.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Ok, the survey on the new Aspuru-Guzik Group cluster name has been open for a couple of days now. If you haven’t had a chance to cast your vote, please hurry up – we will close the poll on Friday at noon and announce the winning name shortly after!
