Alan was recently at the Pacifichem 2010 conference on Hawaii. Although he only presented on other topics from the group he also got into a discussion on dye sensitized cells – a particular type of OPVs – and potential collaborations with CEP2. We’ll see what comes out of this.

Showing scientists relaxing and having fun in the pictures is very important. There is a disturbing trend towards increasing superstition and distrusting science in our country at a time when we need clear thinking and science more than ever. The more human and accessible scientists appear the better for our society.

Our friends at IBM start to gear up for their centennial anniversary in 2011 – who remembers that the International Business Machines company started out selling office supplies? Congratulations to the Big Blue!
