Looks like the wind down of the DDDT2 wave is directly proportional to the rise of the CEP2 throughput... plus Harvard CEP team working on their bronze ;>)

Man vs Machine: On Feb. 14 – 16, the IBM computer system ‘Watson’ will compete at Jeopardy!. And CEP2 has an iron in the fire, as all of the IBM winnings go to charity, and 50% of them to grants for WCG projects. So if Watson does well, we may be able to hire another hand to work on our project. GO WATSON!!!

The contest is between two of the most celebrated Jeopardy! Champions -- Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings - playing against IBM's 'Watson' computing system. The grand prize for this competition will be $1 million, with second place earning $300,000, and third place earning $200,000.
IBM will be donating 100% of 'Watson's' winnings to charity, with 50% of those winnings going to World Vision and 50% going to World Community Grid! |

Well, the first night of man vs. Watson didn’t go too badly at all. Let’s see what tonight brings!
Here is the WCG press release to ‘Watson on Jeopardy!‘. We put in a grant application, but it is a tough competition with a lot of great projects running. We’ll see whether we are one of the lucky ones. http://www-03.ibm.com/press/us/en/pressrelease/33373.wss |
