(Btw i don't think Phyzx has jumped ship... sarcasm tags would be my guess.) Yea - I've noticed that many of the people that who say they quit continue to generate lots of results for the cause. I am glad to see that people stay focused on what is important (which frankly is not any particular conversation in the forums).  |

Also, as Dave Bell pointed out, I didn't move, lock, or delete your thread this time. I guess the surgery to remove the stick was only partially successful. I tried to have some humor about it... maybe next time I'll make a picture. If only I had that kind of time... Please note that a lot of the "forum moderation" decisions are not actually mine to make, but only mine to enforce. That said, I stand by my first sentence. There's plenty of room to have fun on the forums. Don't let my clamped cheeks or raging e-what-was-it-called/are-you-allowed-to-say-that-on-these-kid-friendly-forums distract you from your daily routine. |

This forum has 85 posts a day (and I would argue that this average post number is higher then what it is on a normal basis at the current point in the grid.).
The forum has 17,300 members, which is a subset of a community of 68,000 members. 1 post per member on average. I would like to ask those in charge of the grid as to why they think their forum is so dead, and under utilised. If they are truly naive they may respond that a forum is not the goal of the WCG... to which I would answer that the forums can act as a real multiplier to output from any community, and it would be an visible empirical result at WCG. |
