Hello community,

it would be really interesting to know, where is the world's best place for crunchers. Maybe I would move there... wink

Where do you live and how much do you pay for you Power (kWh)?

I'm from Germany and paying 0,19€/kWh.

Regards,
Krakatuk

Re: World's best energy prices

That is cheap cheap to consider that household power only gets charged with 10% TVA and not the normal 20%. Make it 31 Euro cents all-in pollution charges and all from 800 to 1900 hours and for that the household only get access to 3.3Kwh. Want more, pay more, which we do at an extra charge for 6Kwh of 8 Euro monthly, which is impossible to avoid for switching on a washer+iron exceeds that 3.3 easily and if running the Airco, cant even take a shower as the pump will do the rest to pop the remote legible head fuse. Inserting a 5mm copper wire in place has crossed my mind :P or the alternate is to stop all crunching :(

Re: World's best energy prices

Ok, if I understand it right - Canada and USA are almost on the same level here... Different tariffs, but similar prices if you count it 24/7 - about 6,5 cent/kWh.

Can some other country beat that?
wink

Canada is so cheap because you derive most from Hydroelectric-power drawn on a huge country combined with a very low population density.

Re: World's best energy prices

I'm in the UK paying (inc VAT)

23.1p/kWh for the first 2 of the day
then 16.11p/kWh for rest of the day's unit's 7am till Midnight
then 4.57p/kWh Midnight till 7am

as a consequence......see my sig wink

16.11p = 0.1859€ = $0.261

Bargain laughing
