After buying a new computer and installing BOINC tasks are processing and seem to be completing and new tasks downloaded. Problem is that new computer does not show up on device manager and thus completed tasks are not recorded.
I have installed BOINC on over 5 computers, but this is the first time this has happened. This is the first computer with windows 7, all others were XP. Larry |

I'm sure they'll turn up - after they've been validated (your computer may have 'crunched' them, but for various reasons, they're not yet validated) AND a WCG statistics run has completed (either at 00:00 or 12:00 UTC).
----------------------------------------If you check on your Results Status page, you should find them there. ![]() |

Veteran Cruncher: I thought the same thing, but it has been 5 days now and nothing is showing up. Not on the device page or thereby no results but my computer continues to get new tasks and is processing them. Help! Larry

Cruncher, Larry: Plz go to the My Grid > Result Status page and tell us if tasks are listed with "In Progress".
----------------------------------------If none are listed open BOINC Manager. If in Simple View hover mouse over WCG Icon somewhere down below. What member name pops up? If the name is different to the one you've now posted as, it's probable you've got a second account. And to take away before it's asked: Nope, can't merge accounts. Plz advise.

Larry, another thought has crossed my mind...
----------------------------------------Do you work for IBM, and thus, used the internal ISSI system to download/install the BOINC software?, if so, then I believe that all your computers efforts will all be going to the "IBM" team. Thus, select the "No new work" from within the BOINC manager, Projects Tab, let all the WU's you've currently got, finish off (you may need to manually send them back), uninstall that version of BOINC and reinstall from the WCG Download page - after, of course, ensuring that you're logged into the website using your account). Hopefully then, all your computers efforts will be recorded against your name, not IBM's ![]() ![]() |

----------------------------------------Could be Larry has one of these newly fitted VAIO's that has WCG pre-installed and chose to go with the defaults :D

Veteran Cruncher: Still no sign of my computer on the device manager. Yes, I did sign in using the same sign in name I have always used. My name does pop-up when I run the cursor over the WCG logo. I removed the program and reloaded it last night. It went back to were it was processing and shows it is processing work. Since my computer does not show on the device manager it does not show any work in progress even though it is processing. No I do not have a IBM computer. It is a HP with windows 7.

OK, please go the the BOINC Manager, hit the Advanced View button. There a number of tabs:
----------------------------------------1. Projects - Select and reverify the name is absolute identical, spaces and all. What are the names of the projects listed there? 2. Tasks - There the jobs are listed that your computer is working on. If working for WCG it should say in left column World Community Grid. Any other names? Make screenshot and post in your next reply. Also if you select any of the tasks in progress a row of buttons expands on left and down. There's a header "Web sites". Should say World Community Grid. According the public stats info your last result was successfully returned some 19 hours ago. Here a copy paste, so if you go to the My Grid > Result Status page, all your tasks should be listing there "In Progress" if not yet completed and returned, including those assigned to the missing device: Statistics Larry W.
