Hi, all! Sorry if this is something of a newbie question, but I'm honestly not sure where else to turn.
I'm running 6.10.58 on a Mac with an Intel core. As of this morning, my computer had been crunching Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Phase 2 for 17 hours, and was showing a task completion of 204.953%! I quit out of BOINC and restarted the computer, and BOINC still hadn't moved on from the project. Eventually I got fed up and hit Abort, and it moved on to a new task from Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy. Any advice on what to do if the error repeats itself? Thanks! |

Hello Cuddlesquid,
You only have 2 choices. Let it run, even though it is probably caught in an infinite loop until the emergency cut-off for that project is reached. This shows that you are an extreme optimist who is sure that your ship will come someday, loaded with cargo. Alternatively. do what you did and abort. The unit will be resent, and this will show whether or not something corrupted a bit in your memory. Just to be safe, I would reboot after an abort. Lawrence |
