=>Sgt. Joe: the CPU is not particularly busy with other tasks if that's what you're asking. Specs are: Core 2 Duo @ 3,33 GHz, DDR2 RAM, Windows 8.1.
----------------------------------------=>lawrencehardin: Estimated duration and progress in % were always a total ****** with CEP2 as far as I remember. But the problem I'm having is with the reported elapsed time - there should be no reason for BOINC to report that one wrong, is there? edited to appropriate forum language - ErikaT // since this was a description of CEP2 workunits, I maintain that my choice of words was very tame - Lukfi [Edit 3 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 23, 2014 9:58:30 PM] |

Should I reset the project or just abort the CEP wu's? |

Every time I turn off my computer, I keep losing all of my time on this project, even when I suspend the work before shutting down. Do you really lose all the work? It sounds more like a checkpoint problem. You lose all your work since then when you shut down. You can use BOINC Tasks to find out when the last checkpoint occurred. http://www.efmer.eu/boinc/boinc_tasks/ Unless it was changed, there is a lot of time between checkpoints. I lost some work when the electrician came by and I had to turn everything off. They restarted at zero. I solved the basic problem by not turning off the computer. They run this stuff 24/7.
