How to configure multiple laptops for the same work?

I have three laptops that I use for work. Right now one is configured to supply support for a number of projects. Can I configure the other two to also support the same projects AND have the total "work" performed by the three reflected in my overall support of the World Community Grid? I ask as one of my laptops is never as busy as my primary work laptop (which is the one I use for WCG) so I would like to harness the unused power.

Thanks

Gary

It's just to instal BOINC on the other laptops also and put them in the same divice profile.

When you load up BOINC attach to WCG as the same user/password(to put all your machines under one roof so to speak). Then as kskjold said use the same device profile....

Re: How to configure multiple laptops for the same work?

To underline what the other respondents have said, I am running 5 hosts, 2 desktops, 3 laptops. All run all of WCG, plus about a dozen other projects running BOINC software, distributed across the machines.

I use the same user id and password on all projects, all add into my CPID at BOINCStats, no problems.

If you have a variety of machine capabilities, you might consider limiting slower machines to projects with less demanding WU's. Just load up all you want. Then check in BOINC Manager to see that all of your WU's have sufficient running room to finish in time. Detach any project which will not be successful from that or those machines.

You should find this easy enough and do good work.

It may be apocryphal, but I have heard that BOINC will "figure out" your machines and only give them work that they can do.
