Hi,
I notice that a lot of the teams have the word IBM in them. Not surprising really! What if like the country field there was a company field where you could enter your company name and we could see how many cycles are being contributed by the corporates of the world. Just a thought. |

Hmmm, not a bad idea, but people would likely not fill it in. We have an example of this....
Right now it's difficult to get people to identify their country. Look at the map on this page: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewStatsByRegionAT.do?sort=members See all the members in the Indian ocean... they are the ones who have not declared a country. We don't want to make identifying a country mandatory, yet it would be nice for people to tell everyone where they are located at. BTW, anyone reading this who wants to update their country code: (1) sign in, (2) from the My Grid/My Statistics page, select My Profile, (3) select your country from the drop-down, and (4) press the "save" button. While you are in My Profile, make sure that your email address is correct. You may need to recover your password someday. |
