Could take some decades The point you have missd is that it is not your call. You don't get to decide who SNURK calls a guru. You didn't write the software and you dont maintain it. Feel free to comment. Besides you're not the first to point this out to SNURK. It is what it is.And you maybe missed the smiley. ![]() It was just a comment to the combination of the "Guru" title with missing badges. The second comment an answer to Also, by seeing people with a lower performance than those right at the top of the charts, gives new people hope that, one day, they too could reach 'Guru' level. Yes- it's not my call and I allready wrote, that I don't have a problem with the rules. It was not my desire, to be rude. I've written in a service ticket to Photobucket on this, which I presume to be one and the same issue. All images that are uploaded get deleted again within a fraction of a second. This is how all of the performance charts / dashboard are off now, except for the thumbnails. They stay somehow. Since these are only generated once at initial upload, they go stale... no point in zooming in... old data. :(
----------------------------------------Initially the problem started with added images, not updates images, which would have an odd shortcut link in my ftp uploaded back to my local drive and that is most undesirable. My firewall started to act up seriously mailing me reams of breach attempts. Were they trying to get cloud smart? [rumour central]. Anyway, not trying to refresh any images this moment [causing the old to disappear too] until I can confirm that the updates stick. edit: and it's weekend. No reply to the problem ticket, but PB service just now was restored. An uploaded file did not end in "Upload Failed - Unknown Error" and stays to show in album.

I've also noticed today in the afternoon (around 15.00pm CET), 15.9, that the link with the signature (which until yesterday I last checked worked without problems), 'vanished' (in EVERY browser I get the the not found link - http://photobucket.com/findstuff/?httpstatus=404 - instead of the original link: i1007.photobucket.com/albums/af195/wcgsig/692187.gif I've seen and read the possible reasons behind this, but unfortunately I do not understand much of port, protocols and terminology about all that. All I can say is: 1. I tried the command ipconfig /flushdns - nothing! 2. Then the 2 commands: - nslookup www.sig.net78.net 208.67.220.123 - nslookup www.sig.net78.net 8.8.8.8 Although I did not know, what was achieved with this, I've noticed, that in response I've got 2 totally different IP addresses. I do not know much more as the fact, that my provider uses a Dynamic DNS with 'enabled' DHCP (whatever this means - I know only vaguely at best the explanation). How could I change to OpenDNS or what that means I don't even know. The link at http://www.sig.net78.net/ works just fine, but I do not understand this suggestion and would appreciate if someone could explain that to me: But the key thing is see if there is an entry for anything net78.net in your hosts file - there shouldn't be. If you find one, put the "#" without the quotation marks in front of the line, and save the hosts file. I'm really sorry to bother You, but if you find the time, I'll welcome any help in resolving this. Thank You in advance. Denis P.S. When I now look at my preview I see in my signature first the PHOTOBUCKET sign which says: 'Sorry. this Person moved or deleted this image.' and then (under that) my official 'NORMAL' BOINC signature. As I noted in this post, service was restored [the fail leading to any file/image update effective erasing the file, *which is why all automatically uploaded SNURK sig updates resulted in them disappearing*. I've reuploaded the dashboard, for those dying to see that CFSW now its down to estimated 2 days remaining supply. Then, just got a mail from the PB crew: Danny (Photobucket Customer Support Home) Sep 15 12:13 pm (MDT) Hello, Our engineers have found, and fixed the error that was causing uploads to fail. If you are still experiencing any problems with uploading, please let us know. Please reply if you have any further questions, comments or concerns. Thank you. Confirmed back to him that the ticket could be closed. Crunching on. |
