Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I've received 476 WUs across three machines (e5200, e7500, AMD Athlon x4 640).
In Progress: 195
Pending Validation: 81
Valid: 200

I am having no problems getting new work or keeping queues filled using these settings.
Select DDDT2 only
Uncheck 'If no work available ..."
Set cache to 1.5 days

Set-and-forget mode, no micro-managing.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

My setup was similar only I left CEP2 in the mix to guarantee I didn't completely run dry. And I am still getting more. So, the people who aren't getting them must not be putting any effort into the chase.

This g22 is about 45% into the total available rain.

I have looked at some of my old logs and from those I gathered that when the b batch starts, then the gxx numbering will be reset and starting again from g00 (or g01 -- don't exactly know).
If I have understood that correctly then we have indeed finished about 45% -- but only of the a batch. And since, according to seippel's last post, the a batch is about 85/150 of the total rain we have only finished 25 to 26% of the total available rain in this downpour.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I'm at 4 years on this project now. My goal is 10 years (big goal for me) but this would be impossible on this project. So I'm calling it quits on this one (never say never wink ). Good luck everyone and go for that last badge! coffee

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I have received around 150 WUs so far. The only one of my 5 computers to fill its 3 day cache is my Ubuntu box. My 2 pcs and 2 macs are just barely getting enough to keep all cores busy.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I got a decent supply of units however some of them are finishing in under an hour. Keeping my fingers crossed as hard as I can cross them that I got enough units between my machines to make the 15 day mark. After well over a year Id love to finally have a badge for the project!!

I decided to 'babysit' my computers most the morning to get a slow feed of workunits and so far it seems to be a good run. Once WCG updates and I can get a better look at how much credit / hours is being given to my slower machines Ill have a better idea if I can make the goal or not.

If it looks like I will get 15 days work done, I will back off to give everyone else a chance to grab the remaining rain for their first badges / next badges. Given how long we waited for this to happen I don't want to hog everything up.

Good luck everyone.

Aaron

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I've set my profiles for DDDT2 and 1/2 day cache, and I'm picking up a steady flow of work. Just 100 days to go for the blue, 18 cores working. Will this rain last long enough???

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I'm getting a steady drip of these now with them added to to a non-dengue-specific profile.

I guess I was just unlucky when I ran a dengue exclusve profile for a few hours earlier. That's good enough for me at the moment because I just want to round the results up to a complete year.
