I misunderstood, thought you meant it was going away from the advanced view. Even though I'm never in simple unless adding a new box I"ll still sign;)

Just to make it unambiguous, from 6.12 there's no more message tab, only the event log option on the advanced menu of the advanced view that should not show if a new clean install is made which in default should open in the Simple View. This then requires an extra click or several more depending on where one it to get to the msg log. Then it opens an additional window on top and will be lurking behind the BM if left open and switching. It's from a support view the most frequently visited tab. Don't know if it will get some keyboard shortcut... been asked.
----------------------------------------In simple view, the what happens to the Message button function there I do not know. The blinking of that button is/was quite irritating as if something important was on. Now Notifier will pop-up if something 'important' is happening needing owner attention. It's still in development and lots of well understood language is going to change... it's not about retaining current crunchers... it's about retaining future crunchers. The current active have to adapt... the "goes without saying" approach. Sorry, I think I'm somewhat miffed on my own peefs.

Dataman, or anyone, can you recommend me a good GPU project that will not only send GPU WU, but also is reasonable useful? Yes, I know it is ambiguous, but something like WCG. Don't want to search for martins or what not.

Don't want to search for martins or what not. anhhai, you are clearly looking for GPUGrid: http://www.gpugrid.net/index.php. They are doing molecular dynamic simulations with biological and medical background. They are just preparing new jobs, so a constant workflow should be re-established later today or tomorrow. If you scroll the nicknames in the forums of GPUGrid, you will recognize that many other WCG crunchers are supporting GPUGrid with their NVidia fleet. |
