For a while now I've suspected I haven't been generating enough points for the amount of work done. My stats say:
----------------------------------------Avg. Run Time Per Result (y:d:h:m:s) 0:000:04:38:48 Avg. Results Per Calendar Day 7.66 So each results represents around 279 minutes of processing time, multiplied by averages results per day yields 2137 minutes or 35 hours, 37 minutes. So I run BOINC on a Core 2 duo at work, 24/7. This should yield 47 hours per day given some work overhead. And I run BOINC on a quad core at home when I'm not gaming, so this would add maybe another coupla hours, let's say 49 hours per day. Why then is this so different from the average? I have had this configuration for a very long time now. What gives? Thanks for your time and what is quite possibly a boring post ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Mont at Aug 24, 2010 1:15:27 PM] |

Yawn, Sigh, Hmmm, Drab, ;-)
----------------------------------------So is your client still set to default 60% CPU time or is the Activity menu set to Run Always? Of course, these avgs count from day 1 and include the old UD agent hours if you had any. Suggest to do the Run Always if not already done. Take the coming midnight stats then watch it for 2 weeks, then take the midnight stats again and take the difference and divide by the days monitored. That will give a representative number. Let us know.
