What is your ave point per result in this project?

I am asking this because a few of my WU's wingman are finishing their WU ridiculously fast. I usually get + or - 10% for this project, but a few are -40% (I just get credit for the WU's point, not the average).

For the type C's that begin with P, my ave time is about 3.8hrs for 71 pts
For the type C's that begin with S, my ave time is about 1.5hrs for 27.6 pts

Actually almost all of my WU's for this project finish in about the same amount of time (P = 3.8 hrs, S = 1.5)

Re: What is your ave point per result in this project?

There are 11 different types of work unit for this project, the first 2 characters indicating the subtype. All have their typical run times, on the same device running fairly regular. See http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28159 which is a sticky post at top of the DDDT2 forum.

Why a new thread, yet again on credits I don't know. It's nothing to do with DDDT2 specific. It's a BOINC wide issue. See http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28035 ... the problem starts with the hardware and the benchmark which particularly for hyper-threading devices create substantial false hope.

Ridiculously fast is all in context of from where you're looking. In the below quorum, my wingman might be thinking my Q6600 is a speed daemon... it's not.

The proportions for the times are OK.
And for the credits your averages are in the range too. But with the way credits are granted you can see anything. For the P ones I have granted credits ranging from 45 to 105 for the WUs I have looked at. But I avoid looking at them too often, it's too frustrating. smile
