when i started this project a wu wold take 4-6h to finish, now most of them need more than 9h (13h real time) some getting to the 12h limit(last job in the wu(#15) taking more than 6h long).
is this something that any one else noticed (the increased time) or is it an issue on my side? And if the wu;s are indeed getting bigger, how much more demanding will they get? thanks! |

Yes, and the last once had over 5 hours to do the final checkpoint. That's a long time to loose if power goes out. Anyway, see stats chart for project indicators: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,29475 ... it's the same for everyone.

this is not good. I really don't like long jobs when they use a ton of memory. It means more micromanagement. That combine with longer jobs = bigger uploads.

No, this is an explicit opt-in project... did you and read the "what you're getting into" before opting in? 18MB uploads is nothing compared to what we had during Beta... 80MB uploads. The sequences inside a task depend on each other so breaking it up only further complicates logistics and data transfers. The extreme long times between final checkpoint might not even be addressable. Saving these large models also takes time.
