nasher, I'd seriously imagine that there'll be (hopefully) a very quick Beta test for Windows/Mac CEP2 - as, after all, I'm sure they don't want to launch it to all us eager crunchers with a slight flaw/silly mistake embedded somewhere within it...
----------------------------------------Personally, I'd guess that this'll be happening within the next fortnight or so - providing that there's no sudden showstoppers within C4CW. ![]() |

One (at least) specific beta for Windows and Mac is also part of the plan.

Now that on its first full day c4cw is putting in three times the computer time and getting over 12 times the number of results as CEP2, I am hoping getting windows and mac CEP2 up and running is the next goal.

I have seen in the last 2-3 days, 6 Beta WU's which I assume are for CEP-2 widows.

the beta's for the past few days were c4cw's betas.. they are trying to regroup them into larger work units since right now i think the avarage time is 1-3 hours and they really want 6-10 hours as the avarage for server work loading if i remember right

Plz visit the Beta forums for more information. It was not CEP2 related.

nasher, they are NOT regrouping. The purpose is to get different results. AFAICU there will be different sizes in production, so best stick to what's written previously: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ead,29689_offset,0#291681

I am pulling for you buggers to start getting in on some of this FUN. I have 8 of the WUs on here right now (3 running + 1 from HFCC).
I run 3 projects at once usually but have 4 right now. CEP2 has just about stopped the rest of them from making it to my box. |

----------------------------------------In this case it is related because CEP2 will not start until DDDT and C4CW are up and running. We have had linux for almost 2 months and are hopeful the windows and mac versions come soon. In the absence of an official estimate or at least status report, DDDT, C4CW, and betas for all 3 are relevant as to when CEP2 will finally come on line. ![]() ![]() |
