Hi there,
I've searched through the forums, but I can't find an answer/fix for the error message I am getting. I am trying to install BOINC on to my Mac Book Pro and getting the following error (after going through the install process): Bionic ownership or permission settings not set properly; please reinstall BOINC (Error code -1037). Reinstalling does not solve it. Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks for any help. |

Hi,
----------------------------------------Nothing on our forums, nothing on Google, nothing on apple.com: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2237?viewlocale=en_us&locale=en_us The error is not listed, but is discussed at berkeley developers forum, so that may give a hint: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dev/forum_thread.php?id=3148 - What OS version exactly - What BOINC version, darwin or universal btw, if you start searching with boinic in the term you will sure find nada. With BOINC there's a greater chance :O)

These 2 wiki pages may be of interest to you as I remember that some things on Mac needed to be done manually [permissions I think it was]:
