Re: Whoa a new team record of 278,700 points yesterday

LOL, I like that graphic, Graham. biggrin

I had a bit of a contribution as well. I normally crank out 10,000-12,000 points/day with my work machines, but I went into work over the weekend to do some server maintenance and left all the computers on again. laughing Wow, I'm forgetful, LOL.

Anyway, I did about 16,000 points yesterday because of that, a new personal 1-day record for me. Of course, I think I'm doing pretty good until I look at CompuDude -- then I feel small, hehe.

On a serious IT note, however ... if any of you are IT managers for your company, and your normal workstations run Windows, you really need to check out Microsoft's new Windows Server Update Services (WSUS). This is a fantastic tool for managing Windows Updates to all of your machines (and servers too). It's a free tool downloadable at http://www.microsoft.com/wsus.

Re: Apologies for the Confusion

About my diseased P3.... does anyone have a suggestion for cheap replacement... kind of mobo, processor etc etc for a file server/cruncher running W2K?

Regards

Just picked up a P3 866 Mhz machine for $40 - don't give up the old tech! (That makes 5 machines for me - 2 dedicated full time to crunching)

Re: smile smile Join MyOnlineTeam Today smile smile

Well, I finally made it to our home in Indiana. It's good to be here but we are just now starting the unpacking. Ugg... Oh well. I see that while I was gone my other PCs have kept up a good fight and carried me past the 500,000 point range. How cool is that. Now if I can find my other 2 home PCs some where and get them hooked up!

Sometime in this week I'll have to read through all the posts to get caught up with what all has been happening.
