Am having the same problem, 'Connect() failed - Internet access is OK'. Started about 2 hours ago and is only occuring for uploads of CEP2. All downloads are successful and uploads for other sub-projects working as well.

I'm guessing the "project servers may be temporarily down" ;) |

Down unlikely since the small CEP2 parts continue uploading fine from here. Maybe Harvard is not quick enough in moving the _0_4 parts through the pipe. Anyway, the techs were polled who surely are working with the boffins

I'm having trouble only with the largest (9 MB) files. The little ones upload fine. Exactly the same issue here. Small file uploads are working fine, large files deliver a "'Connect() failed - Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down." May be a busy weekend for the techs in Havard as more members installed a linux to take part in CEP2. What will happen to the servers when all the Windows users rush into this project after release of the windows version ?[Edit 1 times, last edit by roundup at Jul 2, 2010 2:43:51 PM] |

What will happen to the servers when all the Windows users rush into this project after release of the windows version Is that a rhetorical question? Till the upload issue has been handled and tested to the point of high confidence, my guesstimate is that it's not probable to launch... can't sacrifice the overall grid stability because of that... and then we'll have many trickle convertees to Linux :D

I'd never expect that WCG launches a platform release that obviously constitutes a threat to the overall project. Furthermore I am sure that IBM has some nice servers available that could perfectly address the upload issues. Greetz and have a nice weekend! I have posted in known issues, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Also, when windows is released we should have a newer more powerful machine ready with LOTS of storage. -Uplinger |

Thank you for this information! Needless to say, I'm experiencing the same problem. Glad to know it's known and being worked on.
